Rhone Rangers Grand Tasting 2011

The WinoTripping Review

Rhone Rangers

I hadn't been to the Rhone Rangers Tasting in years, but after my trip to Paso Robles, the heart of Rhone-style winemaking in California, I knew I had to go this year. Besides, it allowed me to catch up with and taste from some of the wineries I missed while I was down in Paso. Score!

Meg Maker Bonny Doon

One of the highlights of the day was getting the opportunity to speak with the one and only Meg Maker, who was pouring and representing at the Bonny Doon booth, one of my first stops. This smart and gracious lady gave me the lowdown on what's new at the Cellar Door Cafe, the restaurant at the Bonny Doon Tasting Room. I'll get into those details in another post, but suffice to say it'll be rockin. And since I was there I just HAD to get a little taste of the 2010 Vin Gris de Cigare Rose... and maybe a sip of the 2008 Le Cigare Blanc.
