Where is your favorite Rhone varietal wine region to drink/visit in America?
[Rhone Rangers list of regions]

Rhone Rangers

Answer that question and you'll be entered to win a pair of tickets ($90 value) to the Rhone Rangers Grand tasting in San Francisco on March 27, 2011! All you have to do is post your answer (using the Rhone Rangers list of regions) in the comments field at the end of this post and we'll pick one winner our WinoTripping readers on Friday March 11, 2011. Your answer can be a specific winery, or simply a region.

Want more chances to win:
Post your answer on the WinoTripping Facebook page
(Do you "like" us on FB?)

Re-Tweet on twitter (always using @winotripping, @rhonerangers and the hashtag #RRSF).

The more noise you make, in the most places, the better your chances!

They call it Rhone Rangers Grand Tasting, but it's much more than a just a tasting. Starting on Saturday March 26, the weekend is packed with educational seminars lead by leading voices in Rhone varietal winemaking. There is also a grand reception and wine makers dinner and auction on Saturday night. And starting this year there is a new "weekend pass" ticket, priced at $150, "which gives access to all three seminars as well as VIP access to the Grand Tasting (a savings of $40...), according to RhoneRangers.org.

So, go ahead and answer in comments below and share and win!

[If you don't live in the Bay Area, or are not going to be in SF on the weekend of March 26-27, 2011, please do not enter the contest].

Add A Comment:

I would have to say Paso Robles is my favorite wine region in the US for Rhone varietal. I am looking forward to the continued success of these varietals and better and better wines come out of the Rhone Rangers.

Paso Robles currently. It holds a lot of sentimental value to me as well as it's beautiful, lush, warm, and has a fun array of wineries.

Paso is certainly my fav right now, (I just came back from my wino trip to Paso this weekend!), and seems to be the number one pick from readers, (here and on Twitter)!
Thanks, guys, for your answers and for entering for the giveaway.
