Beaulieu Vineyard Wine Tasting Notes

This big name winery does little for me. You'd probably recognize the label from when you saw it in your grocery store, with the pink BV logo in block letters. The lower priced wines are not very good, while the higher priced wines are not bad, but not great. The winery itself is over 100 years old, and the historic aspect of a visit is interesting. But little else is. I once read a review of this place that nailed it pretty well. She wrote something like... "the large wineries lose a point by default, but some wineries win that point back by making their tasting venue unique and their wines outstanding. This one, did not". We agree.
