Tours are available by appointment only scheduled at least 48 hours in advance, at the discretion of the winery.

Turnbull Wine Cellars Wine Tasting Notes

In the center of Napa, on the main drag (Hwy 29), Turnbull is a quick stop with the bonus of a art gallery usually showing famous black and white photography. The last time we stopped they were showing 65 original Ansel Adams photographs. Another time we saw a retrospective of Edward Weston photography.

You can taste the current releases for $10 a person, or on Saturdays (or by appointment) go into the special Reserve Tasting room and taste the winery's reserve wines for a special price, depending on what is being poured.

Because of it's location, it gets pretty crowded on the weekends. As a general rule, we try to hit Highway 29 only on rainy winter weekdays... otherwise, it can be quite the opposite of relaxing.
