Balletto / Dutton-Goldfield Wine Tasting Notes

This place is cool because you get to taste wines from two different wineries at once, Balletto and Dutton-Goldfield. The tasting room is at the Balletto HQ, a set of warehouse structures down a long dirt road.

Just outside the entrance to the tasting room is a big paved picnic area, semi-shaded by a wood-framed structure. The tasting room is dark and cosy, and Walter, our host set us up right away. He gave us the scoop about the two wineries and how there are two tastings to choose from, ($5 each, waived with purchase). He chatted us up pleasantly about the area, asking us where we were heading and giving us great advise about wineries and secret river access.

We shared two tastings, one from each winery, and the wines were wonderful. We bought three bottles, all from Balletto, (Dutton-Goldfield had a higher price-point, and we didn't like their wines THAT much more). The Bellatto wines have a great logo on the labels, too, a silhouette of a man plowing rows in a field.
