Mr. Coppola's Sonoma property, formally named Francis Ford Coppola Presents Rosso & Bianco, is now simply called Francis Ford Coppola Winery.

The tastings fees are reasonable; $8 for the Sonoma Flight, and $5 for the New Release Flight (four tastes each), and you can always get a free pour of Rosso or Bianco.

Renovations are being done to the entire winery property. The latest update (Spring 2010) from the winery:

"...our new "winery resort" is scheduled to be completed this Summer and will include a two-level tasting room with retail merchandise and movie artifacts integrated throughout, two different restaurants and a park area highlighted by a large swimming pool, 27 cabines (private changing rooms with a shower in each), four regulation-sized bocce courts and a pavilion for live entertainment".

This is a fun winery stop, and should only get better when the renovations are done. Considering that it costs $25 just to enter Coppola's Napa estate, this is a great alternative if you want to get a taste of the Coppola wine experience. Stop by and write on the walls. It's okay, really. They want you to.
