Iron Horse Wine Tasting Tours, Hours & Prices:

Open for tasting seven days a week from 10 am to 3:30 pm.

Tours Monday through Friday at 10 am.

$10 per person tasting fee (which is waived for Corral Club members).

Appointments are required for groups of six or more.

Iron Horse Wine Tasting Notes

We travelled down the charming side road, then up to the top of the hill, along the gravel driveway, and up to Iron Horse's awesome outdoor tasting bar. Just outside a barn-like building, and under an overhang, the long tasting bar gives you plenty of room to belly up and get a taste. The location at the top of the hill gives sweeping views of the surrounding valleys. The laid back staff will offer you generous pours, as well as lots of information about Iron Horse wines.

We tasted mostly reds and weren't blown away. But we later learned that they're know for their sparkling wines, which we did not taste. So we'll have to go back!

This is a great stop because of it's unique experience, the outdoor laidback atmosphere, so different from the hubbub and stuffy tasting rooms you find in Napa along Highway 29. And remember to taste the sparkling!
