Porter Creek Vineyards Wine Tasting Notes

Extremely friendly and easy-going atmosphere and staff. We pulled up to the un-pretentious property and followed the signs around the main house to the small hut and tasting room. Apparently, the small hut is a historic structure, "made with hand made redwood beams." It provided the perfect ambiance for the a great low-key experience.

Our server, who was full of info, at one point wanted to bring some dirty wine glassed to the main house and left us there alone to taste our wine, (no we didn't refill our glasses while he was away!).

The wines were overall very good, with a couple great values, including the Timervine Ranch Syrah ($28) and the Carignane "Old Vine" ($24). More than we usually like to spend, but a really good price for organic and biodynamic wines.
